I think it's about time to put everyone out of their misery Arathorn :} 2 months and no one has managed to get this one. I'd set a time limit for everyone to get it, then if they don't throw just out a new one. As for myself, well, I didn't remember them until I heard them on the MEO forum so now I can't give an answer :}
I do find it interesting their initials spell "fea" :}

No it doesn't. Just make up a new question. If we know it, the game will bloom once more.

Seems to me this thread died long ago. No one answered for ages and most of the answers that were given were in jest. To me that means interest was close to nonexistent

perhaps we could give this thread a rest and go on with the new forum game. It could be for the best, gives everyone a pause to both think of questions and reread some old stuff and such

How about if we allow people to look up answers for trivia? I keep having to disqualify myself due to frequent perusals of the books for other things.

It doesn't matter if you read it recently before you see the question, you're just disqualified if you're reading it after seeing the question, and reading it specifically to learn the answer.
If this rule falls away, won't it just be a race who keeps his/her books at the least distance from the computer, and who can look it up the fastest? ;D

Point taken, Pharazon.
Well, I believe at some point in this thread, which I don't want to go digging for right now :} one of us said after a certain period, in order to keep it moving, the questioner can give hints or give permission to look the answer up. If there was any sort of score being kept (not that there need be :}), Arathorn definitely gets a point for stumping everyone so that they could not get it even with hints :}
So I'll leave it up to everyone else as to whether to continue with this thread, or have Arathorn pick it up with another thread, and make it Round 2? :}
Take care :} Eonwë

I had just read that part when Arathorn put up the question, so it felt too much like cheating. Pharazon is quite right. Can't help but wonder if Tolkien did indeed do the F.E.A. on purpose as it fits so well.

Well, I'll bow out at this point. I'm sure I'd need to refer back to the books to find any answers now, as it's been a while now since I read the Sil. No way I've memorized everything Personally, I think more people might be involved if that limit was not part of the game. I know I myself would remember more if I was to look for answers I didn't know of in the books as opposed to just watching someone else answer who already knows it. Just my 2 cents.
