Since Finrod hasn't said any more, I'll toss in a question for this LotR trivia thread:
At the Battle before the Black Gate of Mordor, Pippin kills what in order to protect whom?

What was the name of the Elf leading a group of Elves whom Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin met before they left the Shire?

The three Elven Rings of power were Narya, Nenya, and Vilya.

I don't think Heruwath's going to answer, so here's a new question, not hard if you paid attention at recent meetings. What were the names of the three eagles who came as rescuers to Mt. Doom after the destruction of the One Ring?

Pronunciation of Elvish is found in Appendix E of Return of the King, and a shorter version in the back of the Silmarillion "A Note on Pronunciation". Try picking a few words or phrases that you find most useful to start, and pick whether you wish to use Sindarin or Quenya. Which Elvish language? This is the Announcements section. The Tolkien section is slightly lower. Unless you're an elf, you don't have an elvish name. You can make up one, or use the meaning of your real name and translate it. Please don't use all caps. It's considered rude. We see you just fine without that and it is harder to read. Here are some links from our Links page concerning elvish languages: valarguild.org/varda/links/links.html#TolkienLanguages

I had just read that part when Arathorn put up the question, so it felt too much like cheating. Pharazon is quite right. Can't help but wonder if Tolkien did indeed do the F.E.A. on purpose as it fits so well.

How about if we allow people to look up answers for trivia? I keep having to disqualify myself due to frequent perusals of the books for other things.

FYI: Concerning Kingsfoil, the word "athelas" is Sindarin. Since you've moved on, I'll mention the Quenya name is "asea aranion".
