Hail F'Nok and pleased to meet you! :}
Where we "expand" to really depends on the interest of our members, so unless we have a contingency that intends to play Well of Souls on a regular basis, we won't be "expanding properly" there. All our members are welcome to play Well of Souls, or any other game for that matter.
As for expanding properly into bnet, I have not been on Well of Souls myself and so I don't know how much different the environment(how players treat one another) is, but I suspect it to be a bit of a shock in some places :} You'll want to set up your own channel. If you want to make use of Blizzard's "Clan" system, you'll need 10 members on WC3/TFT. It'll give you a channel you can use and mostly gaurantee to keep out unwanted elements. The other option is an Ops Channel.
Take care and good luck :} Eonwë

I've considered getting BFME, but right now I prefer WotR. The hero skills being based on a timer rather than mana is rather appealing. My only real complaint is that the WotR map editor is on the level of WC2, a game nearing (if not completing) 10 years older than it. If the Map editor were on par with WC3, I could not complain at all. The graphics are quite excellent, and I enjoy them immensely now that I have a computer that can process them (i.e. the thick, wavy grass) :}
We do have members who play this however. They'll have to make themselves known :}
Take care. Eonwë

I've seen that show. Yeah, it is funny sometimes :}
THey killed innocent little bunny rabbits? Least they could've done was gone into Sotrmwind and killed some rats.

My greatest suggestions for this problem are: 1.) Refresh your screen. 2.) Make sure you're logged in (some boards only let registered members post) 3.) In an extreme case, delete your cookies/ temp internet files. 4.) Before all else, make sure you're looking in the right place :} 5.) Make a suggestion :}
If it's really gone for you, I have no idea beyond the above. The thread isn't locked so you should be able to post. Try replying again.

I have an X-box, and I even play games on it :} However, I don't play it online.
Ninja Gaiden is the main game I play on it atm. Lots of fun and strategy required :} Can't always hack-and-slash, gotta time moves, techniques, combos, and know when to dodge and go on the defensive.
Would anyone be interested in adding online console games to the Games Page listing?
Take care :} Eonwë

We do have some Californians (I'm not one of them :} won't say fortunately or unfortunately, as it depends on your own take :}). Might be just as "secure" to make sure their e-mail and AIM name matches what we have on our pages :}

Here's one I just did in the MEO RP that may not be known or understood.
Auros and Estarion are both warriors of their respective peoples. Auros, in "interrogating" Estarion, drew Estarion's sword from its sheath.
For any important sword, it would be an insult or challenge to the owner of that weapon. Any noble or even any great warrior would have a weapon that was specifically for them, one that held alot of importance, whether to his family or to himself alone. A sword, axe, whatever wouldn't mean that much to a "commoner" or low-class soldier. A sword is a sword.
The easiest example to find of this would be in LotR itself. At Meduseld, Aragorn did not want to give Anduril into the keeping of anyone else. "Were it any other sword," he said. Gimli, though his axe had no name, loathed to leave it sitting where others would touch it as well.
As for not touching the blade, that I drew from a Japanese custom that a samurai would not touch the blade of his sword. I would assume other groups would have similar customs, particularly because one wouldn't want to get oils from their fingers, dirt, anything such as that on their blade, as it could dull the weapon, making it harder to cut through things, people, etc.
Thus Auros is testing Estarion's story, level of skill, and yet remaining within some level of respect should the story prove true. Pushing some might be forgiven in time. Going too far can end you up in a fight :}

I'm making this post for side notes on words and things we "do" in any Role-play that goes on our Role-Play boards that the general population may not understand, sort of a reference guide. What can I say, I love knowledge and spreading knowledge (that's why I'm a Noldo in MEO :} )
For the RPers, you can note the circumstance and/or word here with an explanation. For those reading it, you can post your question here so it can (hopefully) be answered by the person using it, or by someone who does know :}
Since I started it, I'll ask the first question :}
Why rub grass/hay on a horse after a long journey? I believe I read about it somewhere, but don't remember, so I'd like to know :}

I have the XBox version, and to say the least, there are some buggy things with saving. It works fine, except for when my bro and I save Player 2.
Otherwise, it is fun to play,.. even had a lvl 11 Aragorn :}

Hail all! :}
As we all should know, there are many times in LotR when the Valar are referenced. The peoples of Middle-Earth knew about them, and even called to them for help. The Elves especially loved Elbereth (Varda), while hunters in Gondor may have called upon Araw(Oromë) to help them find a bounty of good meat.
In order to assist our members in Tolkien Role-play, I thought I would list character classes from World of Warcraft and their probable Patron/Matron Vala/Valië were they in Tolkien's universe. I encourage those in other RP games to list their classes and probable class patrons. Make sure you tell us which game too though :} And a reason why that's the patron would be good too. Vala names from both the Silmarillion and the Book of Lost Tales are free for use in this :}
[glow=blue,2,300]Paladin[/glow]- Manwë, Varda, or even both. As the Highest authority in Arda and the closest in mind to Eru, Manwë is a top choice. Manwë also "has no thought for his own honor," an aspect Paladins are also supposed to share. Varda is also a top choice because her power is in Light, and the Paladins in WC/Diablo serve "the Light." The Nazgul, undead creatures, certainly feared the name "Elbereth." Fionwë is a secondary choice, being their son.
[glow=blue,2,300]Warrior[/glow]- Tulkas, or Fionwë. It depends mostly on the type. Tulkas could generally be seen as the patron of all warriors, as he is known as Astaldo, the Valiant. He laughs even in battle, taking delight in wrestling and contests of strength. Fionwë can be seen as a top choice, specifically because warriors tend to wield weaponry rather than fight bare-handed. Fionwë is the mightiest in arms of all in Arda. Secondary choices would be Makar and Mëassa, two other warrior Valar.
[glow=blue,2,300]Hunter[/glow]- Oromë is the top choice for this class. He is the greatest hunter in Arda, having hunted Morgoth's beasts since before the Elves were born.
[glow=blue,2,300]Druid[/glow]- Yavanna is the top choice for a Druid. Her domain is nature. A second choice would be Vana for which "all flowers spring as she passes, and open if she glances upon them.."
[glow=blue,2,300]Priest[/glow]- There are really only two beings in Middle-Earth that have priests: Eru and Morgoth. The other Valar do not need nor desire worship, preferring all should worship Eru, the Creator of All. From the description of priests in WoW, however, it would seem the shadow of Morgoth is on even the priesthood of those who serve Eru, such that priests would manipulate others. It would take a mighty one to cleanse such a taint :}
[glow=blue,2,300]Mage, Warlock[/glow] These people would not normally serve good as none of the Valar except Morgoth have shown any sign of granting such power to the younger races. I suppose one could step back into BoLT as see where (I believe) there is a reference to the elf wizard Tuvo. However, as Elven (spiritual) nature and Human (spiritual) nature are different it is hard to find an actual patron other than Morgoth.
[glow=blue,2,300]Shaman[/glow] Morgoth, Namo. Shamans speak with spirits and have visions of the future. Although this loosely connects them with Namo, most spirits go to one of two destinations: Mandos or the Void. Unless by "spirits" we take it to mean "Maiar" rather than "ancestral spirits" which it is traditionally taken to mean, in which case Namo becomes the top choice of "good guys." Morgoth of course can send just as many spirits out to decieve and lie, so this is a fine line to walk for those who tread the path :} Where they get any control over the elements is still up in the air.
[glow=blue,2,300]Rogue[/glow]- seems to be Makar and/or Mëassa right off the bat. These two are the original rogues, enjoying discord while not wanting things to get "too messy." These two didn't want Melkor to be dealt with harshly, because if he were out of the picture everything would be nice and calm (for the most part). On the other hand, they also didn't want the world destroyed :} And they didn't like Tulkas very much, with his laughing while fighting and all. Guess it made them feel like he wasn't really trying and it was insulting to them :}
Ok, there we go :} If there's a way to get this to be a topic in all of the general categories for the Rp games, that'd be great. Otherwise, Tell others to come take a look :} And don't forget to add on your games! :}
Take care :} Eonwë

I played the tutorial, which I found amusing, but to be honest, I could not force myself to continue with the lag. My best computer atm meets minimum for processor power (800 mhz) and needs twice as much memory (comp has 128, needs 256). It's just too painful for me to watch the lag, so I don't play it. I've turned down everything as much as I can while still keeping things readable.

Just thought I'd mention I bought the game :} The requirements are heftier than I originally expected. Be ready for a bit of lag if you have less than 256 MB or Ram.
