I saw War of the Ring in the Best Buy sale paper today. Means this should be available shortly if not already out :}

I tried to get in on this, but not really wanting to sign up for yet another board (I like to keep my signups to a minimum,.. I splurge already for guild stuff :}) I decided to try guest access. It wouldn't let me, so after trying for a while I give and say "fine, I'll go ahead and register." I try, and then it tells me it won't accept free e-mail addresses, so because I use hotmail, it won't let me sign up. Their loss I suppose. Guess I'll have to hear second-hand :}

I've seen it and still can't wait :} I'm excited about both, actually. I hope WotR lives up to the expectations. A World Editor likes Wc3's would be great too :}
As for MEO, I think we're going to have to either : 1.) Be very creative with our Guild names. 2.) Allow some leniency or establish a naming stucture for the game.
After all, I can guaranteee they don't want Eonwës or Aragorns running around :} I guess that's something that we can discuss in Council as time draws nearer though.
Take care :} Eonwë

I am looking into this as well :}
Seems it's going to be interesting as you will be expected to have a conscience(or no conscience): your actions will determine in some way what kind of person you are. Can't wait for some sort of beta :}
Also the housing will be interesting: anyone want to grab a Hobbit Hole, or would a spot in Minas Tirith be better? :}

Sure why not :} And while we're at it, it'll make you look more appealing to the opposite sex :}
This topic was meant somewhat in jest, as the third choice should paint an amusing picture in one's head :}
It can also make for interesting discussion as well, though, hence the mind-stretching part :}

Here's a little something for,.. as said in the subject:} Consider the story of Diablo 2 only, not so much the game itself.
A Paladin is a holy warrior, and many of his spells are geared to either heal party members or to deal damage to unholy creatures like undead.
A Necromancer is the antithesis of a Paladin, using curses and summoning spirits, animating corpses, all those unholy things.
So, if a Paladin were to use a sufficiently powerful Holy Bolt (Maybe Holy Ball ala FireBolt/FireBall would be a better name) on a Necromancer, would it affect the Necromancer by :
a.) Purging his unholy powers, rendering him unable to summon spirits, mobilize undead, and use curses
b.) Dispatching the Necromancer in the same manner it dispatches a zombie or skeleton.
c.) Purging the Necromancer of his unholy powers, but at the same time, improving his complexion and restoring the long years of lost muscle tissue, perhaps restoring a physique typically seen on the Warrior class.
Stretch those minds :}

Arathorn, if there are no one else posts between posts you make, try to answer multiple questions in the same post. If there's some actual time between posts, that's one thing, but these are mere minutes away.
That goes for everyone, btw :}
If you could compress some of these, it'd be appreciated.

I've seen the "older" bonus level version, and I imagine it's only become an even uglier fight :} My Dunadan, given enough time and full rejuvs, could make it through one of them before, but I'm not sure about now. I had needed to convert a few guys to help keep them off me, but the way it sounds, there's no one to convert now. Might be easier to just go fight Morgoth, hehe :}
Did you mean "where are they?" They're the levels with the red portals found in Frigid Highlands (where you rescue the edain soldiers) the Plateau (right before the frozen path) and one more place, I think in the place before the crystalline passage. If you manage to get through, they have treasure chests.

I thought I'd post this here.
Middle-Earth mod v 1.92 was released last week. You can get it from the v&K site linked from the Games Page, or you can get it from Eowyn/Nathalia's Page also liked from the Games Page.

With the Season 2 Ladder, the first person to get to 99 with any character gets a prize package, including a copy of WoW. However, since all these people with insane amounts of time on their hands are already topping to ladders out at 87 and lowest is 71ish, I don't expect I'll be winning this one :}

Further explanation from Blizzard on the Arreat Summit shows that they are indeed putting them in the same "world" as our normal characters.

Bidwi, you should know we do not allow profanity. We are a family guild stressing courtesy and literacy in both actions and speech. Please edit your post accordingly, and in the future choose other non-profane words to describe your feelings toward something. Furthermore, I daresay you would want a new e-mail too.

Uber-D is the what many call the Diablo Clone that appears under certain conditions in Lord of Destruction realm games. He is much stronger and deadlier and harder to beat than the Diablo you fight at the end of Act 4. I've never seen him, but then I haven't played LoD alot in some time :}
