Had this idea for a while, and now that I'm putting it down in words, it doesn't seem so good... but eh.
I am ancient and mighty, and have seen many ages of the world. I am neither friend nor foe, nor have I served them, but many lives would not be the same without me. I have travelled all my life yet my life has been much longer than the journey. My parents' journeys ended where mine began. I once held value but it was taken from me, and I never had it again. But it crossed my road many times, and accompanied me to my fall, before crossing me for the last time. I have taken lives and seen many more end, but am still held in awe and wonder, and my paths have been fought over many times. I am watched over by stone and many times overcome, but never stopped. I have seen darkness come and go on every side but could never be tamed.
I change and am renewed many times, but still remain the same. Who/What am I?

We live in the forests, whilst our likenesses may be found where they have sat at the turnings of the road since the Dark Years, before ever a ship came to the western shores.

Here goes (should be easier than last one):
Once I had a friend Now I have none Long ago he left Our friendship is done
One thing he prized Above even me With me he would leave it But no trust would there be
I was his security His safety, his rock But for this thing From me did he walk
Where he is now I cannot discern To light or to darkness Never to return
Who or what am I?

Is it Gollum's cave? I say this referring to the little shelter he had on the lake.

Yes! It is Gollum's Cave! I asked this particular riddle because Gollum's Cave was recently added to Lord of the Rings Online, but apparently it didn't help anyone from the game answer it Anyway, you're next up Arveleg.

In malice I was formed. A mockery. An abomination. My uncanny dumbness was fostered But then throttled At the foot of the Mirkwood, as my stupidity bestood the speech of the dark and the light of the sun. Now only serve the Dark Hand of light. Now stronger am I. The Sun I behold. A greater creation than Melkor would mold.
Now forge mine hammers and buckle mine claws as from the hills of Gorgoth a war cry is heard. Now all enemies fear the strength of my club and my bite to the bone as triumph is made for the Dark Lord's Dark Throne
Who or What am I?

Olog-Hai I'm guessing, Trolls bred by Sauron that were actually smart, something unique amongst Trolls as they were typically very dumb, and they could withstand sunlight while Sauron's will was upon them, the ability to withstand the Sun also unique. They also spoke the Black Speech.
