Hmmm, I'm not feeling terribly picky at the moment, so I'll let you go with that. Technically, it would be the "Tale of Tinuviel."
All yours, Arveleg.

Curmirrim? This is a pure guess from Cur "skill/cunning", mir "jewel", rim "people".

Perhaps I'm reading too much into the phrasing of the question, but what I'm about to guess appears to me to be wrong, which is the reason I've been delaying so long to take a crack at it (giving my memory time to remember, hehe :})
Gwaith-i-Mirdain
That's the only proper name for that particular group of Noldorin smiths that comes to mind. I don't recall any other form being mentioned in LotR, but I'm willing to be shown otherwise once someone gets the correct answer :}

So it was the right one after all. Nice :}
At the Council of Elrond, Elrond likens Frodo to Elf-friends of old. Who are these Elf-friends?

I believe the Elf-Friends of old do not so much refer to single people, as they do to the people of the first men come over the Misty Mountains into Beleriand, the remainder of which in the end formed the Númenoreans.
These people of course are: The people of Beor the Old (Beren's ancestor) The people of Haleth of the woods. The people of Galdor and Hador Goldenhead, of whom Turin and Tuor were descended.
If it were purely names of individual people you are looking for, I'd go for Beren, Tuor, Turin, Huor and Hurin, Beor, Hador and Galdor. Maybe even Haleth, but within the Silmarillion she plays but a minor part, though she too (or her son) leads her people alongside the Valar in the War of Wrath. As for Eärendil, he is Half-Elven, from Tuor and Idril Celebrindal, and counted as one of the Eldar in Valinor. His sons, Elrond and Elros Tar-Minyatur, their fates are known, Half-Elves, and made to choose the kindred among which they would be counted. Elros chose Mankind, becoming the first King of Númenor and direct forefather of Aragorn. Elrond chose Elvenkind and lived through the ages so Eonwe would be able to ask this question *grin*.

Elrond likens him to specific Elf friends. My question seems to be a bit more ambiguous than intended.
"I do not lay it (the burden of bearing the Ring) on you. But if you take it freely, I will say your choice is right; and though all the might elf-friends of old, Hador, and Hurin, and Turin, and Beren himself were assembled together, your seat should be among them." - The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings Book 2, Chapter 2, "The Council of Elrond"
The Elf-friends he was likened to are Hador, Hurin, Turin, and Beren. You have these listed in your answer.
In light of these, I award the correct answer to you, Menelvagor.

I'm sorry about that Eönwe, I answered that question based on my memory of the Silmarillion. I can't quite recall what exactly Elrond said at the meeting in LotR.
Upon leaving Bag End, it is mentioned Sam made a final goodbye to something in particular. What is this thing?
