Let it not turn into a picky discussion. There will be lots a posts were things does not fit 100% and occasionally issues and questions pop up "we" are not able to explain. When I say "we" I mean the characters. As I see this RP it is for fun purely fun, I do not think we have to justify each and everything in the RP with what is "possible" according to Tolkien and LotR. If we try that way it will soon go dead with endless quotations and discussions about what is possible or not. I see this RP as an entry into our characters and the game and we all know that there will be things in the game, to make it run, that may not fit correctly into the perception we have of this world. We are not rewritting LotR but making a RP that runs before the game MeO. A game we dont exactly know what consists of and what will be like.
No I have never done RP before ;D so I dont know, and dont care if there generally is some rules we have to follow. If I might suggest a plot or task for this RP it may be why Mirkwood is getting darker. If we want more free hands I read the Men of Angmar were awaikening again in MeO and investigating this area gives us nearly free hands. Eventually combining it with the investigation of the blight / Dol Guldur issue.
My charater, Lomelinde, is surely not in any aspect elite. She is young, knows something of sorcery but mainly of beasts. Her mentor is Radagast. I chose him because he is known but not much spoken of and thus it gives me free hands to develop Lomelinde. The basic is animals and plants. When MeO comes online she, as in this, will begin as a rookie and therefore she is a rookie here. At least to begin with.

Lomelinde is a rookie? So that barrier is a rookie skill, and not even your main line of development? You will be incredibly powerful when you become elite... I hope you make it that long, instead of leaving the RP(G) permanently

There were only two wolves left and she was not able to hold it for long. As seen in thread I tried to explain the ways of magic. Mind against mind and wolves mind may be considered as a dogs so you have the mind of two dogs against a human. The leader of the pack was already dead and in previous thread Lomelinde, to begin with, was forced / thinking of climping a tree to excape or fight them off. An Elite Supreme sorceress would plain and simple havee created a mega blast to be heard eccoing down the vales of Anduin leaving burned grey tuffs between torn apart trees Errm that really is a nice image you have there. Love it ;D

Elatan, you're right about this rp not having to be dead on with the books. If we can just keep the Tolkien flavor, it would be nice, but we will all just muddle through. This should make us appreciate the game developers' job more, though!

Great minds,.. and timing :}
I do try not to pick Elatan, unless it's something that seems blatantly wrong and I need to have it explained for my own understanding of the tale in progress :} I don't expect "we" the characters to be able to explain everything, but "we" the writers should know how we intend things to be in our contributions, which is based on our understanding of the contributions before them :}

Indeed, you're right. I should not have addressed Elatan. But still, several openings had arisen for each of you, so I still wondered about the 'lack' of posts

Doesn't matter really, I just wondered... I'll probably have my days off as well, when I'm on vacation or indeed something urgent and time-consuming comes up. But anyway, since I realised the answer to my question could arrive a bit late, I'll just continue my part as if I had already gotten the answer... for that I'm sorry, Elatan, as it might lay boundries to your post. So, look for my post soon Edit: Like, now

I will make a post but as said I`m not so fast. Have seen an opening for me to post but need to find my way, what do I say and do. examining wolves may give an idear of what is or has been going on with them. Making a post here is so much easier than continuing What I mean with picky about the books is more like have faith. If armor parts of 40 elven guards were scattered around and no blod to be seen we are able to find a solution on that. Could be poisened guards, sprayed or and by stings that made them swollen up, had to drop the armor due to it and escape. A cleaver way of the spiders to spread a large company without loss ? Was just an possibility or idear to show we are good enough for anything we may write or have written ;D

Alrighty I have made my post. I feel we have come to an end of a chapter We are all at the gate. inital "strange" things have happened and maybe it is time to round up where we are, what we have and make a conclusion of whom, what and where to do / go. I have put Lomelinde in position for that. She is done and finished here in the story awaiting what we here desides to do.

Great! A new character! Always nice Although, I must say: A legendary eagle with the name 'Twinkle'? I never want to hear another Fluffy/Helvy comment again!

Hmmm.. after re-reading Elwing's post, I'm surprised that the elves are now so easily spotting her.. I realize they have keen eyes but seems she was specifically trying not to be seen...
"...her keen eyes could mark any movements of two- or four-leggers on the ground, yet they would not see her; likely they would be surprised if they could. ..."
That's my take on it, anyway... feedback?
