OK, let's do one final roundup of naming suggestions for the next part of the story.

So far for suggestions we have:

Sorcery in the North
The Morgul Staff
Stirring in the North
The Desolation of Angmar
The Derelict Realm
Angmar Bound
Into the Dark


Post any other suggestions and I'll add them to the above list.

My preferrence is "Stirring in the North" as title . My own suggestion for the new thread would be "Angmar calls" or "Approaching the Enemy".

OK, the list is set in my previous post. Out of those, pick the one you like most. The deadline is January 31st, but if all we RPers weigh in sooner, I'll make the new board sooner.

It's a hard choice tbh...

My personal preference would be:
"The Derelict Realm"
or
"Stirring in the North"

I think both have a ring to it that may sound Tolkienesque.

I give my vote to "Angmar Bound" or "The Derelict Realm".

My vote is for 'Sorcery in the North' or secondarily 'Stirring in the North.'

I'll vote for "Angmar Bound" or "Stirring in the North". Both seem to fit the mood best.

Voting for Angmar Bound, The Morgul Staff, or Sorcery in the North.
"Angmar Bound" has a nifty mulitiple meaning and uses an actual place from Tolkien's world.
"The Morgul Staff" is the widget we're after and uses a word from Tolkien's languages, meaning evil sorcery.
"Sorcery in the North" is at least what we're fighting, if less specific on what or where.

After giving this some thought, I've decided my top two would be:

1.) The Derelict Realm, because it's descriptive of the state of our destination. Angmar was abandoned by the Witch-King c. TA 1975 after he was defeated in the reclaiming of Fornost.

2.) Angmar Bound, because of the wordplay that could be involved there. Besides the ideas discussed in the meeting, it could also be construed to refer to peoples or groups living or operating in Angmar.

Since mine is the last vote, that puts us with a final tally of:
