Earendil is not correct as he was in fact a part of the elven race having chose it for his love of Elwing, my question has to do with a specific quote from the book about one of the mortal men.

Ahhh.. Tuor, his papa, then! ;D
"But it is sung that alone of all mortal Men Tuor was numbered among the Eldar race, whom he loved and his fate is sundered from the fate of Men."
Knew it was one of the two.

Not to be outdone by Turgon ;D, here is my own multi-part question:
Who was it that could read in the minds of men thoughts they wished to reveal in speech, which leader of men did he befriend and what did these men name him (also, what did this name mean in regular/modern English)?

Finrod Felagund(or Nom by the men he first encountered) and the man he befriended was of course Beor the old, and just for good measure nom means something like wise or teacher I think

I did not Grandsire, I simply had to find the right question, maybe get eonwe or gwaihir or somebody to play besides us 3. So here it is and try not to use your books.
To which group of people, give both sindarin and common speech names, did Arvedui last king of Arthedain give the ring of barahir to?
come on everybody, we have 150 members more then 3 should be able to play this game...

Hey, more than three people are playing the trivia game! I just haven't known the answers for the last few questions. I know this one though, Arvedui gave the ring to the Snowmen of Forochel, also known as the Lossoth.

Very nice Maglor, I figured that one would take forever without the use of books as most people don't read the appendixes that much but anywho your turn

Here's a good character-related question:
Who was "the greatest off all the minstrels of the Elves east of the Sea, named even before Maglor(;D) son of Feanor?"
