It is indeed the Cirth.
Congratulations, you get to ask the next question.
As always, I'm very interested to know how you came up with the answer.

I'd like to share credit on this one with Glorfindel. I'd suggest reading the meeting transcript for how the end result was Cirth :}
I think that I shall take a break from asking riddles, just because good ones take so long to formulate :}
So here is a standard trivia question: By which pass did the refugees of Gondolin escape Gondolin's fall?

No, but you're in the right place. Crissaegrim is actually the name of the mountains, not the pass.

This wasn't supposed to be that hard of a question, especially since references to the Sil aren't ruled out :}
I'll give this question until the meeting on Sunday, at which time if no one has got it I'll just give the answer and give a different question.
An addendum, that will perhaps help in the guessing. The Crissaegrim are actually south of Gondolin. That's in the opposite direction of where one needs to be thinking for this pass, contrary to what is suggested by the name of this pass.
So there it is. Remember why the Crissaegrim are important and you will have a good clue as to the name of this pass.

Cirith Thoronath. Book of Lost Tales part 2, page 213, (viii) "The escape of the fugitives and the battle of Cristhorn (pp 188-195)" (I know it's a Sil question, but figured I'd look it up in BoLT, where the fall of Gondolin is described in greater deail

How became the arrival of Feanor in Beleriand known to Morgoth and what was his reaction thereto?

The arrival was reported by the orcs.

In part that is correct Arveleg, however, there is something special about the landing and the land where Feänor arrived. I wish to know those facts *and* what Morgoth did in answer to this news.

The arrival of Feanor was made known to Morgoth by orcs who heard the noisy echoes of the Noldor at Lammoth and saw burning of the ships of the Teleri. Morgoth might have been a little afraid but he didnt then have any solid proof of their supposed strength so he decided to try to drive them back to the sea.
