Calion:
Giving a short, awkward bow while still in his seat, Calion spoke as well. "I too will join you on this mission. There is another of our kin who needs saving, if at all possible, and he is dear to my heart. I have been preparing for enough time now, familiarizing myself with the lands to the north, and their current condition for as much as the birds could tell me, as well as what knowledge I could find in the library concerning our enemy."
With that, his face went dark. He added, in a slightly lower voice, "I will do what is necessary, and not let myself be distracted by the shell he wears and from which we hope to drive him. But this is personal to me, and apart from my duties to Mirkwood, which would be enough reason to go up there, I would not sit by and abandon my brother to his current fate, nor allow his possessor to waylay you without my presence."

Auros:
"Very well," Elrond said, rising from his seat. Taking the cue, Auros also rose. "I will leave you to set the number of your party, should there be others you think would be valuable in this mission, and to prepare. Let me know when you have set your date of departure." Auros bowed.
After Elrond departed, Auros gathered the cloth containing the sword and said to those remaining, "I will set preparations in motion for provisions. There are also some people I need to speak with before the day wanes. Let us meet later this afternoon, and we will discuss our journey."
Auros stood by the door as the others filed out. When Calion came to the door, Auros stopped him for a moment with a hand on his shoulder, looking him in the eye. "If there is any hope of saving your brother, we will try."

Calion:
After eyeing Auros for a brief moment, Calion gave a fleeting smile. "Thank you," he replied, and nodded slightly. "There may be hope yet, for him and for your friend. For their sake, we will do what we can."
With that, Calion continued walking to his room, possible scenarios playing through his mind.
