An intriguing kinship website tool

One of the LotRO players has made a kinship roster tool with a variety of bells and whistles that our webmeisters might find interesting. The link is forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?&postid=3915045#post3915045.

I know that Eonwe has recently put in a lot of work on a kinship roster in the Gaming section of this site, and very nice it is! However, that might not preclude his taking a look at the other one. One advantage to it is that it takes information directly from LotRO, which means manual updating is not necessary.

I took a brief look at this post on the LotRO forums, and dug further to find that apparently Turbine's making kinship and character info fairly readily available to those desiring it. I find it interesting Turbine's willing to divulge that much of their data, and it is quite helpful to those of us who run our own pages as opposed to sticking with theirs :}

For the moment, I don't think this is something I'm going to jump right into. I will keep it in mind for future Games Page development, though. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Now if only Blizzard will do the same thing.. :}
