Barad Gularan Deed and Emissary Quests

The Plan: Group as many possible and get the Circle of Despair Deed completed! If needed will form a raid and break off to groups for the Emissary quests.

The Emissary quests come from a drop off named Elite that roam the roads in Himbar.

Minas Caul is one of the large towers of Barad Gularan, south of Gath Forthnír.
You must travel to Barad Gularan and issue a challenge to Bâlak, the emissary of the White-hand, inside Minas Caul.

We started off with Ulmo (Niequi/mins), Legolas (Thandril/hunt), Miriel (Mahariel/mins) and me (Irmohir/capt). We helped Ulmo and Than get the quests for the Emissaries (from the named mobs in Himbar) and then went south-east. Route from Gath Forthnir to Minas Caul without too much trouble.
Inside Minas Caul the Emissary turned out to be a 70 k nemesis who spawned a constant flow of 2 additional elites to help (and heal) him. It took them about 20 minutes to take us down, but down we went...

We found 2 members of the Palantiri (Mosby/hunt and Eidelweiss/mins) willing to help, and succeeded in taking down the Emissary of Minas Caul after a loooooooooong fight.

We then went on with the challenge of finding the hardest places for the deed Circle of Despair (8 places around Barad Gularan for Angmar Fidelity virtue). 5 of these are relatively easy, 3 are extremely hard. After the latest patches these places have elite masters (26-42 K HP) every few feet of the way: ME giants, ME angmarim, ME wights, ME wraiths, ME trolls.

We succeeded in reaching Minas Demh and then Minas Maur. Both were guarded by about 10 elite masters: we ran up the last yards of the way with captain's haste and IHW/LS; Minas Demh went ok, but Minas Maur led to death for some and later all of us... we met again at the rez circle after all getting credit.
Decided we should approach the last place (Minas Guradan) from the south, since coming from the north was obviously (too) hard. Well, it appeared the south (as well as the north) approach to Minas Gularan is guarded by dozens of Elite Masters, sooo....

A few deaths later Ulmo, then the palantiri, had to go. Than, Maha and I tried another time, but again we failed. Later only Maha and I remained, and I convinced Maha to try again. And .... we succeeded, Maha and I got credit, even after me falling off a cliff (of course).

So finally, after a year since we first went to that area, we completed our last-but-one needed virtue. Only the trolls of Sarnur remain now for Valour 8.

If some of you feel like going to Barad Gularan, be prepared for a fun challenge. If you seek good rewards for little effort, avoid this place at all cost <grin>. My total repair bill was around 700 silver.

We ourselves need to finish the other two Emisssaries, they are at the south Minas, so much easier to reach.
Anyway I would not hesitate going back to this area, if any of you feel the urge to go there.

Thanks to Ulmo and Than for being there with us. It was fun to be involved in something (very!) challenging again.
