Signatures

[Lindir 2007-2008]

I have created a colorful signature for this messageboard that I would like to share with you. It features an image of Lady Fainan and myself sitting on our steeds on a road near the Horsefields north of Bree. As you may have guessed, the Tengwar script says 'Curulindë' (in the Beleriand mode).



If any of you would also like to make a signature, it can be somewhat time-consuming but is otherwise pretty simple. I merely took as screenshot (F11), edited it with an ACDSee image editing program (others are available), created the text in MS Word (many fonts are available for free on the web), then combined the image and text in MS Paint. There are more elaborate ways of creating very professional-looking signatures, but I tend to prefer things to be on the simple side.

Tengwar may take a little while to figure out, but with a little bit of patience most anyone is capable of doing so. I highly recommend Dan Smith's Fantasy Fonts for Windows as a starting point.
