Suilad, mellyn!  I have been a member of the Valar Guild less than 24 hours and, in true Tolkien fashion, I already have three names: badgerbrock (my messageboard login), Lindar-V* (my Valar Guild name), and Curulindë (my LOTRO primary character name). I had a very delightful time with Fainan last night. It is very good to be among folk like me. Now to the point of the thread... Thank you for this link! Of special interest to me is the Player Music System. I am a minstrel in-game, and a musician by-training** outside of it. I have just began learning the ABC musical notation system, and am in the process of manually creating ABC files from sheet music. It's a long process, but I hope to create some files of music that I love that will be unique to me. * Having the Roman numeral 'V' (5) at the end of my name somehow that makes me feel like a character out of Logan's Run. I'm a little long in the tooth. I hope I won't have to become a runner soon.  **I hold a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance, and spent many years as a flautist before I became a vocalist. By "by-training" I mean that I do not make a living as a musician. |
