That's a good question. We also have Tolkien-only members not currently gaming (25 currently listed), old members who dropped out for inactivity but come back by now and then (we drop about 40 a year for inactivity and have existed since Oct 4, 1997), and folks who game with us but don't know Tolkien and aren't considered members but guild-friends. New people join all the time, coming in from the Tolkien site and the various games. Then we have you fine folk who drop by our boards, although not considered in any list of members.

As Varda wrote, It is hard to say but the 126 members have taken the entry test and are "full members" of the Valar Guild. Not meaning the others who have not taken a test are considered less worthy, they are as good friends and appreciated as regular members but we do not keep an official listed count of them ( Think Varda does for some though )

We keep track of only Full members, and Varda keeps track of Tolkien members. Other than those, we have no official count of Guild-Friends, who are those who have not yet joined (passed our entry test) or don't intend to join, but still are polite and able to abide our Rules and CoC in our forums and gaming. Guild friends are not members of the Valar Guild, but as their name implies, are friends, usually actual friends of people in the Guild.
