Ok, as was in the meeting this week, the question was raised who would be handling the new Valar Guild Branch in WoW. Of course, I volunteered , but what I want to know is, if there are any other people who want to join WoW, willing to make and update the WoW webpage. Wouldn't be fair if I jacked all the work, now would it? I was the one with the fab idea to make a new Message Board, and just look at us

I might be able to help with the webpage, I'm pretty good at graphics and have a fair knowledge of HTML. I'd be willing to make any graphics/buttons/borders if you need them. If you want an idea of what I mean check www.sinecure.ca I made all of the graphics for this page. Plus I can't wait for WoW

I've checked your website and it looks great! Why don't we team up on this one to make it the best site ever? we'll both do the webwork and both get the credits, what do you say? Perhaps we could get together on AIM soon to start working out something cool

I can't wait to see what you've accomplished :}
Btw, the question was who would be willing to handle the WoW web page. There was no question about who would be handling the branch as that's me :}

Aye, Eonwe is heading up the WoW project. Be sure to coordinate with him on the web page. He does the guild's Games page, so he will be able to work with you.

Ah, I see one of my famous "I want to type it and I think I typed it, but the truth shows otherwise" mistakes of mine I meant the WoW Valarguild Branch website, as the name of the topic implies.

Very nice work... have dabbled in flash myself. Like the opening/closing door, buttons are catchy too.

This was my first real thing made in flash and I think it turned out nicely, but I am having trouble getting the sound of the doors closing. The sound in Warcraft 3 is called BattleNetDoorsStereo2.wav and I have tried to extract it from the Warcraft 3 files, but I am getting an error. If anyone has suggestions, tips or the file itself it would be extremely helpful.

Don't have Warcraft myself, but I did find a good program for extracting sounds from D2X... maybe this site might help you (they seem to have a Warcraft link there too): www.infoceptor.com/

How are you attempting to extract the sound? As I recall, it should be possible to draw the sounds from the game using the WC3 World Editor (The Sound Editor is what you'll be looking for in the menus).
Hope that helps. Eonwë

Thanks for the help! I used the world editor and managed to export the sounds I wanted. Before I was using MPQ Viewer, and that works fine for exporting pretty much everything else, but I guess it doesn't work for wavs. The sounds should be up in a little while.
