This is the final goodbye from Dusksinger in DaoC. DaoC had come to an end for me. It actually did some months ago. She wishes you all well with her last story from DaoC.
"Now it is time, time for Dusksinger to say Goodbye, for a long time I have been sitting under the oak in Haggerfel or wandering along the shore of the sea where I was born a long time ago. Old and aged have I been, many things have I seen and more I have heard. But it is time, those I knew and loved are gone, yes it is time and now I hear my Gods calling and I will be released from this world that has nothing in store for me anymore. Out in the freezing cold I shall go and finally return to what once made me"
"Only Youth think itself immortal and fearless it lives untill it one day finds the years have gone and memories is all thats left, then Death will be the redeemer. So is life and that is good"
With slow movements the old woman got up, looked around with bleary eyes for two old axes that could use a sharpening, found a pair of old black leather gloves she held dear and then she shuffled towards the Oppland-gate. A guard looked strangely at her when she asked him to open the gate.
"What you want out there granny, its no place for an ol`fool like you. You go and rest at the fire instead" But perhaps he saw something scary in the old womans wrinkled face, perhaps he saw a ghost of yesterday, perhaps he saw death in shining blue eyes, a young woman with strong arms, a supple body and in black-gloved hands two deadly axes.
In any case he mumbled an excuse , opened the gate and let her pass out into the snow while he looked down.
