After talking to Varda about possibly allowing a sort in a table on one of our web pages, I found and am changing some Javascript code that allows you to create a table/grid and then sort on the columns by clicking on a given column (can sort in asc or desc order). BUT, in trying to make the code more manageable, I'm coming across object errors that don't seem to make any sense. I can get it to work a more tedious way, but would like to know what is causing my current error. The code consists of 3 files: the html and 2 JS function files (javascript functions). Do we have any Javascript coders that can give me a hand. I've used it before, but not for this particular function. I can email you what I have and perhaps we can discuss it on AIM (ID: ArathornValar). thx,

Well, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had created a 2 dimensional array inadvertently and was trying to used the second array's properties instead of the array element. THUS the error. I have since fixed the problem and now have a single dimension array (one column) and now the sort works flawlessly! Yippee!
<scampers off to finish coding..>
