There is a lot of confusion about the deed Tracking an Old Goat and the quests associated with it. Turbine tried some new quest mechanisms, and at the same time some of the quest text is ambiguous or misleading. I got stuck today after the first two quests in the chain, so I did a bit of research on how to complete the deed/quest chain. Here's what I found out (and have successfully tested since).
When you first acquire Andreg the Ranger as an 'ally,' along with his whistle, you immediately get two quests from him: one is scouting the Gravenwood, and the other is to do with removing corrupted goo. At the place you mop up the goo, there is also a named signature, which will drop a quest starter that is not part of Tracking an Old Goat.
After that, the only quest available from Andreg is one called something like 'dark forest' that warns you in bright red letters that you will be unable to do any further quests from Andreg after you complete the 'forest' one.

You won't be able to go back later to complete the deed. Instead, close the quest text window (x in the upper right corner).
To get the rest of the quests in the line and to complete the deed, you need to go to some specific places to activate Andreg's quests. When you 'talk' to Andreg at those places, you will see that you have one or two new quests. Accept those and complete them.
Cruel Traps 81.6s, 12.0w
Orc Mischief 81.6s, 12.4w
Now move on to the next area and do pretty much he same thing.
Lost Caws 82.8s, 13.9w
Hunting the Pack at 83.0s, 13.8w
After you turn all four of these quests in to Andreg, you can 'continue' the wrapper quest with the red warning. That will direct you to Saeradan to continue questing in the Gravenwood.
The deed will help you keep track of which quests you've completed and which still need to be done. There is a total of 7 quests, the 6 normal quests plus the wrapper quest with the red text.
