Just a brief comment. I got casually asked why I PVP in the Ettenmoors. While I have taken about a year break from the moors, I have spent some time in the moors lately and these are the best answers I can give. (no particular order)
1. With a leaderboard rating of 112,750 Im number 30 or so on the entire server. Im just competitive that way I guess..
2 Supposedly there will be actual benefits in the moors with freep rank coming with ROI. Em interested in that. Plus even now I can get a horse Varda cant.
3. I like the chatter in the moors, especially on audio. I like Budhorn and the guys who are very laid back.
4. I like the focus without any loss in the moors. I can deep into it and not feel like I have wasted my time if I don't kill the final boss.
5. I like being able to stop on a moments notice to work with the family without feeling like Im holding up 5 to 11 folks.
6. It takes a lot of skill to survive the moors and I buff my play style there. Ive played PvP from 2007 when the game started and I suspect Im one of the 3 or 4 folks that have hung in there. I miss Essence and her hubby but I remember the days when I would get 1 point a kill healing with her.
7. I go back to Gobblemoss's and Warginators beginning. I remember soloing each and drawing with them on fights 2 years ago. I havent seen Warg in a while and Gobble migrated to another server. Even so we had a lot of fun.
Just as a side note, I DON'T like several things in the moors now and I just leave when it occurs.
1. Getting jumped by the reavers. They are just overpowered. Ninety percent of my time I play a mini in the moors and I just get run down.
2. I hate the Warg / stun mechanism. I don't mind being pounced and 6 wargs vrs 1 mini is just tiresome. But 6 vs 1 in permanent stun sucks.
