As everybody know LOTRO is now free. I remembered trying out the game in beta several years ago and enjoying it, so I thought I would return to middle-earth online now that it's free again.
I'm just wondering if there are any other beginning LOTRO players like myself in the Valar Guild kinship as I'm getting started, or is everyone already too far ahead for a noob like myself? The VG plays in the Landroval server, right?

We play on Landroval, aye.
I've seen members with characters pretty far over the spectrum, and plenty have alts.

Just pop into the Valar channel on LotRO and say hi, and/or whisper Varda (Fainan, Timbridhil, and a plethora of other character names available on the LotRO Player Table on the Games Site). Those would be the easiest ways.
Those failing, if you catch me on AIM (I usually hang out in the meeting channel when I'm available, whatever else I may be doing), if I can pop into LotRO for a moment and get you in, I will. If I don't answer in the meeting channel within a couple of minutes, whisper me: it means I'm probably doing something dangerous in WoW or LotRO :} That way I'll know to pop over to AIM as soon as it's safe.
