Ugh, I just realized that I'll be late to the runs. I'll join (if there's room) as soon as I can, but I probably won't be able to make it before 2-2:30 est. *sad sigh*

Indis plans to participate in the skirmish raids on Saturday, preferably on Celebrethil who is in dire need of s4ms, but on Alasse if needed.

Not clear if there are signups for the Saturday skirmish raid, but I would like to participate, presumably with Alasse. However, Celebrethil (burg) has now reached level 75 and is available if a burglar is needed.

Sadly, Alasse will be unable to participate in the Lost Temple run, as a result of a prior commitment. Good luck to you all.

Miriel's post (with the table for the WSoC) looks comprehensive and fair. I support it, with thanks to Miriel and the others who contributed.

Meren:
Her heart lightened at every step toward Imladris, and her anticipation grew. She smiled at the thought of experiences to come. No need to worry about hostile enchantments or ambushes to require constant alertness, at least for a time. Such things would become distant, subjects of research, and she would be able to resume the ever-comfortable scholarly detachment that was normally a valued part of her life.
It was not that in her love of solitary study she undervalued the opportunity to interact and learn from other folk. For example, though she knew the history of the Noldor and deplored much of it, unlike many of her kin she did not hold individuals of that kindred responsible for the actions of a few, most of whom had left Endor for the halls of Mandos. Thus, she anticipated an opportunity to become acquainted with Noldor who were perhaps more approachable than Auros, upon whom she had been imposed at Thranduil's request. Perhaps she could improve her knowledge of Quenya, which up to now was an object of study for her but not a vehicle of person-to-person communication.
She might even catch sight of some of the fabled denizens of Imladris, at least in passing: Glorfindel, Erestor, and of course Master Elrond himself. That would be a privilege indeed.
So it was that Meren looked forward joyfully to both an expanded world and a deepened one. As they passed through increasingly varied and healthy olvar and kelvar and approached the skillfully built and ornamented gates to the domain, her heart sang, "I'm coming home!"

Sadly, the first run is scheduled on the day of my once-monthly standing appointment on Saturdays (which runs ca 12:15-2:30 pm). Alasse will not be able to attend at 1 pm.

I would be interested. Alasse (currently my only 75) is also doing them from glff, so she may be somewhat restricted in view of the weekly lock. She is a member of another kinship but can always be reached through the friends channel or by tells.
Edit: For weekends, she is normally available all day Saturday and Sunday until late afternoon Eastern (if there is dinner with in-laws, otherwise into the evening). Roughly once a month there is a standing appointment between ca 12:15 pm-2:30 pm Eastern; it will occur this coming Saturday 10/22/11. She is normally available on Friday afternoons.
Needless to say, when her alts reach 75, they will also be interested in joining up. Currently Isaniel (mini), Tengwarien (RK), and Celebrethil (burg) have reached level 67 and are advancing more or less in tandem, while they also work on crafting.

There is a lot of confusion about the deed Tracking an Old Goat and the quests associated with it. Turbine tried some new quest mechanisms, and at the same time some of the quest text is ambiguous or misleading. I got stuck today after the first two quests in the chain, so I did a bit of research on how to complete the deed/quest chain. Here's what I found out (and have successfully tested since).
When you first acquire Andreg the Ranger as an 'ally,' along with his whistle, you immediately get two quests from him: one is scouting the Gravenwood, and the other is to do with removing corrupted goo. At the place you mop up the goo, there is also a named signature, which will drop a quest starter that is not part of Tracking an Old Goat.
After that, the only quest available from Andreg is one called something like 'dark forest' that warns you in bright red letters that you will be unable to do any further quests from Andreg after you complete the 'forest' one.
****Do NOT click on continue!!!!***
You won't be able to go back later to complete the deed. Instead, close the quest text window (x in the upper right corner).
To get the rest of the quests in the line and to complete the deed, you need to go to some specific places to activate Andreg's quests. When you 'talk' to Andreg at those places, you will see that you have one or two new quests. Accept those and complete them.
Cruel Traps 81.6s, 12.0w
Orc Mischief 81.6s, 12.4w
Now move on to the next area and do pretty much he same thing.
Lost Caws 82.8s, 13.9w
Hunting the Pack at 83.0s, 13.8w
After you turn all four of these quests in to Andreg, you can 'continue' the wrapper quest with the red warning. That will direct you to Saeradan to continue questing in the Gravenwood.
The deed will help you keep track of which quests you've completed and which still need to be done. There is a total of 7 quests, the 6 normal quests plus the wrapper quest with the red text.

Meren:
The oppressive feelings the orc-sword had induced in Meren seemed to abate as they drew nearer to Rivendell, and her sense of hope and eager anticipation grew with each step nearer their goal. She was also pleased to see the relief from the burden of desire that brought more cheer and life to Frali, so that he was much more like the young dwarf she had come to know in Mirkwood, before his obsession with the sword. Nevertheless, she kept it well protected and hidden, in case he should have a relapse, and left part of herself alert during her elven reveries. From time to time, she brought Duroch near to him as they traveled and exchanged a few friendly words with him.
On one of these occasions, she brought up the subject of Rivendell with him. Neither of them had been there, and she thought he might fear an unfriendly reception, so she told him something of the history of the enclave: how it was founded by Noldor who had been friendly with the dwarves of Moria until Sauron destroyed Ost-in-Edhel, and how it was now considered the most cosmopolitan of the elven settlements east of the Sea. She emphasized its reputation for hospitality to seekers of knowledge. She gladly answered what questions she could.
As for Calion's brother, she had searched through everything she had brought with her for any reference to sorcerous possession, especially of an elf, and she had scoured her memory for any references to such matters. She was also concerned about the effect on Calion himself. Unfortunately, she came up with almost nothing of any apparent help, and so she looked forward all the more for a chance to pursue that and the other arcane matters that concerned their party amid the resources of Imladris.
As her spirits lifted, she could see that those of her companions were rising as well. It was in part the increasing natural beauty that was reaching all her senses, but also it was a general sense of deep well-being that she had never felt before, even in the most protected portions of Thranduil's domain. How wonderful it must be for Auros to be returning to such a home!

Yes, I am too. Also, the forum seems to be down. Looks like a big mess in Turbine HQ.

Meren
With a feeling of relief, Meren yielded the sword and returned to let Frali know what was happening and to give him a sturdy weapon she had taken from the few spare items the party had. As she described the thinking of those who had seen the sword to the dwarf, she could see out of the corner of her eye how Fainan approached Auros and how he, in turn, made his way to Calion. She hoped she was able to reassure Frali that the orc sword would be well taken care of and in a way to assure the safety of all the travelers. She also mentioned that she would try to ensure that he had an opportunity to investigate the blades forged by the skilled smiths of Imladris.
While she was in conversation with Frali, she continued to keep an eye on the actions and listen to the dialogue of those examining the orc weapon. The more she heard, and the more she saw of body language and facial expression, the happier she was that the blade's menace had been discovered no later.
When Auros finally called her over, she did not know quite what to expect. Perhaps the proud Noldo would blame her--either for not finding out about the weapon and its runes sooner, or for learning of it and burdening the company with it. Or perhaps he might have questions; she hoped she would be able to answer them if asked. What she did not expect was to be given charge of the thing, and it was with some dismay that she took it, though she hoped her feelings were hidden.
"Yes, of course I will look after it and do all I can to keep it safe--and us safe from it. Naturally I would welcome any further information about it that you can tell me." She bowed politely and paused for a moment to see if there was anything else the Noldo wished to add or ask. As she waited for a response, she made plans to find some time communing with her books to research what she could about the inscription and history of such weapons.
