How does the group feel about modifying the above to allow outside players to run as Mains instead of Alts, since they allowed us to have our run? I think this would be the best way to to handle our need for additional help.

Next run this Saturday, October 29th at 1:00PM EST! On Saturday, October 29th we did our second 12 man guild run. Full of fun and laughs! Defence of the Prancing Pony Cirdan (Menarus, 75 hunter), Gildor (Marrella, 75 guardian), Hurin (Hiurred, 75 captain), Indis (Alasse, 75 lore-master), Irmo (Irmogar, 75 guardian), Miriel (Mahariel, 75 minstrel), Melkor (Passim, 75 rune-keeper), Nimrodel (Ardisian, 75 hunter), Pippin (Avengelina, 75 champion), Ulmo (Niequi, 75 minstrel), Anrisa 75 captain from PLOI and Eladion 75 lore-master from The Tuatha De Danann helping our guild out. Here Miriel had a huge oops! She accidentally gifted the Careworn Earring (caster item) to Ardisian in the mad haste of looting. Sent a ticket to the GM's to help her correct this error, but that was sadly and instantly refused. Apologies to all. Tuckborough Went on to Tuckborough with the same group set up. Pippin was the lucky Valar member who won the Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor for the week! Stand at Amon Sul And last but not least was Stand at Amon Sul same group set up, although Galdor (Andwe, 75 hunter) took over Nimrodel (Ardisian, 75 hunter) spot to end the evening with a successful and enjoyable bang!

This is a work in progress, but I have attempted to place a table with loot - Worn Symbols of Celebrimbor earned by week. Let us also us this post to discuss loot rules. Loot We are all mature people and can work together to help our guild members. Mistakes may happen and I ask all to be forgiving. The game does not end tomorrow and I do not think any will fall defeated at their keyboard if we don't get our "shiny new items" right now. -Worn Symbols of Celebrimbor Current plan (10/19/2011): To allow every Valar Guild member able to attend the raid runs 1 Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor. This will be tracked by Guild Name, not character/account. This means the first Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor that drops will be rolled on by all. The winners then pass on all future Worn Symbols of Celebrimbor until each Valar Guild member has acquired. If a person gets the Symbol in a run outside the Saturday run, it is also outside the Saturday tracking. Please also note the Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor is not bound and can be traded/sold. -Gear Drops Current plan (10/26/2011): I must ask all to declare a "Main" Character to be played. These characters will be eligible for gear drops. Any alts/sub characters will not eligible unless no other main character during that run wants the item. I feel the need for this rule since some have many characters and it is no fun for those that are unlucky with rolls to have to wait for alts to be outfitted because the luck of the dice is not in their favor. If the raid-leader requests someone change from the Main to an Alt for the good of the raid, that Alt will for that requested time be treated as a Main, unless he/she asks not to be. Alts (non-mains that are kinned) get to roll if the mains don't need the item. If no one desires the item, it goes to an everybody roll for vendoring. Mains of Valar Guild members that are not kinned are treated as any other Valar Guild members. (Examples of already declared mains: Bofur's Dagr, Nob's Elenrandir, Halbarad's Boronind, Indis' Alasse. Also, outside helpers with no kin name are considered mains) **IN the event that I can not attend a Saturday, Raid (12-man) Skirmish, would the winner of the Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor please send an in-game mail to Mahariel.ROUND 2Name | Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor | Annael (Rhonia, 75 champion) | - | Cirdan (Menarus, 75 hunter) | - | Celeborn (Kebb, 75 champion) | - | Eomer (Erkendan, 75 captain) | - | Galdor (Andwe, 75 hunter) | WSoC 3/31/2012 | Gildor (Marrella, 75 guardian) | - | Gorlim (Aeronwy, 75 minstrel) | - | Hurin (Hiurred, 75 captain) | - | Indis (Alasse, 75 lore-master) | WSoC 4/21/2012 | Irmo (Irmogar, 75 guardian) | WSoC 3/17/2012 | Miriel (Mahariel, 75 minstrel) | WSoC 3/17/2012 | Melkor (Passim, 75 rune-keeper) | - | Nellas (Nimeithel, 75 warden) | - | Nimrodel (Ardisian, 75 hunter) | WSoC 3/31/2012 | Orome (Oromdur, 75 burglar) | - | Pippin (Avengelina, 75 champion) | - | Thranduil (Artemis, 75 burglar) | - | Tulkas (Astald, 75 hunter) | - | Varda (Fainan, 75 hunter) | - | Name | - | Name | - | Name | - | Name | - | Name | - | Name | - |

First of all I would like to thank everyone for coming! Impressive team work and good spirits. I hope all enjoyed the run. I know that I did! I will start another post detailing what loot was acquired and by whom. Taken from the news: Saturday 1pm Eastern 12-man skirmishes completed very well. No wipes, all completed, and one Worn Symbol of Celebrimbor won by Irmogar. -Prancing Pony: Participants: Annael (Rhonia, 75 champion), Cirdan (Menarus, 75 hunter), Gildor (Marrella, 75 guardian), Gorlim (Aeronwy, 75 minstrel), Hurin (Hiurred, 75 captain), Irmo (Irmogar, 75 guardian), Miriel (Mahariel, 75 minstrel), Melkor (Passim, 75 rune-keeper), Nimrodel (Ardisian, 75 hunter), Pippin (Avengelina, 75 champion), Ulmo (Niequi, 75 minstrel), Varda (Fainan, 75 hunter). -Tuckborough: Participants: We had the same group except that Cirdan had to leave. Pinkfae, a friend from Palantiri, filled in as a 75 Lore-master. -Stand at Amon Sul: Participants: We had the same group except that Pinkfae needed to leave as did Gorlim and Pippin. We were fortunate that Galdor (Andwe, 75 hunter), Indis (Alasse, 75 lore-master), and Nellas (Nimeithel, 73 warden) were able to arrive for the last run and jumped right in.

Would the guild be interested in trying some of the new raid skirmishes together? Preferably during the weekend on occasion so that us "daytimers" may join. I know getting all on will be a challenge, but would like to hear opinions and times available by responding to this post. Responding here would be a great help to get this endeavor organized since we all have different play times/zones. Please attempt to post your availability in Eastern Standard Time. I am wanting to schedule our first run the weekend of October 28-30, 2011 (Friday-Sunday). I need to know more people's availability to pin down a good start time. Please take a few moments of your time to post your availability. Start out with Defense of the Prancing Pony, Tuckborough or Breaching the Necromancer's Gate? I have read these skirmishes may be a good starting point. UPDATED General RequestsPlease be on time and prepared with morale/mana potions, appropriate food, scrolls etc. Commit to paying attention. Be considerate of everyone's effort. Practice makes for success & failures teach us what to improve upon. Keep all loot discussion and opinions in the "Loot: Raid (12-man) Skirmishes" post not during runs. The run times are for running and working on our tactics. Keep afks to a minimum, limited to collective afk breaks. Loot Please refer to Topic: Loot: Raid (12-man) Skirmishes: valarguild.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=raiding&action=display&thread=1112We are all mature people and can work together to help our guild members. Looking forward to your responses Here is a bit of information, more can be found in the link I provided in the quote.

A few of us have been trying out the Kinship Auction function recently in order pass recipes and goods to those of the guild who may need them. Hurin brought up the idea and it seems to be helpful. I was thinking perhaps we should start up a bi-monthly Kinship Auction lasting from Friday-Monday of the first weekend and another mid-month. Would be a great way to unload items from our bags and vaults! Our first Kinship Auction will be held this weekend October 14-17. Load up on goodies & post your excess! For this to be a success we need more members both offering and buying then are regularly visiting this forum. Please all advertise the idea in game! Searching Posting

As of the Isengard expansion the older version of Tonicbars will cause game crashes. NuclearTonic has put out a new version (v2.6) to solve the crashing. Please remove your old "Tonic" folder and replace it with v2.6 "Tonic". download site link: www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info370-TonicBars.html- for Windows XP users, this is usually " C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Tonic" - for Windows Vista\7 Users, this is usually "C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins\Tonic"

With the Isengard Expansion there are now task boards for level 65-75 players. Each task gives 300 reputation and legendary item experience. The task boards are located in many of the camps/villages, but the turn in NPCs seem to be located in the larger camps/villages. I will list the turn in location. Some of you have may have unlocked the titles during last years Festival. For those interested and wanting these titles, Annael and I have collected many of the fortunes during this festival. These "pages" are able to be traded, and are being stored indefinitely on one of my vault characters. Please contact me in game to get these nifty titles and we can meet up at the Bree Housing Vault Keeper in the neighborhood of Bronworth. I was reading forums a few weeks ago and came across the LUA-Plugins information for TonicBars. I have played around with it now on my Hunter... lets just say: I LOVE IT Irmo and Hurin have also been testing this plugin and are impressed with the functionality. It was a bit confusing at first and took some time to get it working as I wanted. SO be patient and not in a time crunch. What are some of the things TonicBars can do for you? TonicBars can: * Organize skills, items, mounts, pets, and more onto Quick-Bars for easy access. * Automatically Manage your Classes skills to unclutter the screen * Trigger those bars or individual quickslots to display skills/potions under certain circumstances. - In-combat - Poisoned, Wounded, Feared, Diseased - Based on Class Specific Buffs!!! - Alt, Control, Shift Pressed - Health/Power Drops below some Percentage * Customize the Bars in terms of: - How many Rows / Columns of quickslots to show (aka, the size of the bar) * Add Extensions to a bar (hide skills, but get to them Quick) * Copy bars, Reset Bars, Copy the entire bar setup from another character on the same server.
The How-to:You will need to add a new folder just like you did for "Music files". Look I am walking you through that below... 1. Navigate to your documents folder for The Lord of the Rings Online - for Windows XP users, this is usually " C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online" - for Windows Vista\7 Users, this is usually "C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online" 2. Create a folder named "Plugins" inside of this folder. All plugins will be placed inside of this new folder. Once you have downloaded the file do not unzip it all to /Plugins folder. You only want the folder called "Tonic". This folder is inside the "Tonicbars" main folder that you unzip!!!! I suggest unzipping the file to your desktop or your downloads folder then moving the folder "Tonic" to the /plugins folder manually. 3. Log into game 4. Make a macro to load the plug in. The example I give you will replace your current "1" quickslot skill with the macro... so move what you have there first. You can put your skill back after you find a nice new place for your macro. ( /shortcut 1 /plugins load tonicbars) 5. Use the macro to enable TonicBars. This must be done at every login! See why I had you make a macro <winks> I would not advise you to place your macro on any Tonicbars created slot because until you load Tonicbars you won't see it. *****LotRO LUA-Plugins are still in the BETA phase.***** Here is the link for more information, directions and download: TonicBarswww.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info370-TonicBars.html I suggest thoroughly looking over the information.A video highlighting the plugin: Please fell free to ask me for help if you need and I will do what I can. Enjoy!
