Weekly Questing for the first week in August.
This week's questing tooks us into Maraudon, where legends say the remains of the father of the Centaur lay guarded by his mate.
Quests: Vyletongue Corruption, Legends of Maraudon, Corruption of Earth and Seed.
Questers: Eonwë, Varda, Ulmo, Beline (Dracxil)
Our first destination was a passage beyond the orange crystals to purify the corruption caused by the Satyr Vyletongue. We sought out currupted plants to purify, fighting our way through Dryads and treants who were unfortunately too corrupted to be called back. Deep inside these caverns we came across Noxion, a vile creature created by Vyletongue to guard part of the scepter of Celebras. Defeating him was no simple feat, but the foul creature fell and relinquished his part of the scepter.
We fought further on, searching for plants to cure, fighting the corrupted beings that came to prevent the healing, until we saw ruins in the distance. We then decided to backtrack and go after Princess Theradras, the mother of the Centaur. Taking a portal into the depths of Maraudon, we fought through Hydras, elementals, and other corrupted creatures to come to the princess, where she guarded the remains of her beloved, the eldest son of Cenarius. The fight was long and hard, but in the end she fell before our might. It was then that we found the elder son of Cenarius, slain by his own offspring, still wished them no ill, and sent us to seek his brother Remulos in Moonglade with a seed. Our task was not complete in Maraudon, however, for we still had to deal with Vyletongue and gain his piece of the Scepter of Celebras.
Going beyond the purple crystals, we fought through imps and Satyrs until we came to Vyletongue himself. After our earlier battles, the Satyr leader was dispatched quickly, and his piece of the Scepter of Celebras regained.
Only one more task awaits us in Maraudon: to find Celebras and speak with him..
