Happy 18th Anniversary! Thank you to all that have contributed to the long life of the guild whether you have a weathered patina or are new and shiny.
Have fun shooting off random fireworks and even doing flash mobs to shoot them in various towns. We can mail mathoms or pies in-game to fellow Valarites. Feel free to email Varda with your original Tolkien-inspired work (art, poetry, stories, articles, etc) maybe Valar-related, to have it published with a special Anniversary mention. The AIM chat marathon is running from Oct 4 to the next Sunday meeting on Oct 11. Come help us hold the channel open as a pillar of the community. You can even say hi on this thread!
"There Iluvatar permitted the Valar to maintain upon the Earth an abiding place, a memorial of that which might have been if Morgoth had not cast his shadow upon the world." -Akallabeth, The Silmarillion
"When you can do what you want, you will be who you are." -John Hagee (first person I heard use it anyway)

Happy anniversary! Valar Guild is legally adult now?
"And men saw his sails coming up out of the sunset, dyed as with scarlet and gleaming with red and gold, and fear fell upon the dwellers by the coasts, and they fled far away." -Akallabeth, The Silmarillion
A tad late but better late than never. Happy eighteen Anniversary Valar Guild Oh yes I am still around playing LoTRO as Dusksinger and will continue to do so until Sauron is down. My old kin Circle of Trust has merged with the Last Alliance, long term allies and friends, and soon with the server-reduktion we will become The Lost Alliance. It was quite funny reading about your running around and shooting fireworks as celebration. I tend to shooting too at every occasion I can find in the game seems some kind of karma is circling the world. I hope you are all well and wish you and the oldest guild ever in the history of the internet a prosperous and joyful year in the spirit of Tolkien.
