I agree with you on that much.
It is almost enough to make you want to go head-hunting with Mr Jordans head being the sought after prize.
Has any one bought the prequel and read it yet. I am hesitant to procure it if the blasted thing just drags the story out again. And ESPICIALLY in the wrong direction.

I've bought New Spring but haven't read it yet. There's a couple of books in queue before it :}
Technically, it would have to run the story in the right direction (forward in time :}) unless he began at the end part of the story and ended with the beginning :} I agree though, in that I believe you mean you don't want a hundred prequel books when we still haven't seen Tarmon Gaidon in the WoT series yet :}
Take care :} Eonwë

wheel of time is a very good book series and i recommend that all of you read it. ;D It may be a bit lengthy but it's definitely worth it and i'm sure if you ask others who have read it they would say the same. more info under WoT: minyacollowen.proboards24.com/

Ive read up to book 7 and am reading book 8 now. Evidently the twelth book will come out around 2007-2008. Robert Jordan says that if he has to, he will make it 2000 pages long!!! The book will be basically summing up the rest of the plot.

Just thought I'd stop by and say that Book 11 is out in hardback and has been since November, and no I haven't read it, as I'm staying with the paperbacks, so no spoilers for my sake and the sake of those who don't want spoilers :}

I'm sorry to inform those of us reading this series that Robert Jordan passed away on September 16th, 2007. I heard about this first through an employee at my usual bookstore, and confirmed it through a visit to wikipedia and, more importantly, to Robert Jordan's blog at www.dragonmount.com/RobertJordan/May he rest in peace.
