has anyone seen the Return Of The Kign Yet? I heard that they were going to go by the bok on this one, but without the scouring of the Shire. how can It be by the book without the scouring of the Shire? I feel that they did us a great wrong in removing that party of the story because I feel it was intergal to the plot. I can only hope that when I see the movie tomorrow, that it is true to form. It was great, there was alot missing from the books and some things changed, but they arent gonna make a 20 hour movie just to please me ;D but I was really good, read below for spoilers on things they left out and had in.(highlight to read) They didn't have Saruman's death or anything with Saruman/wormtongue, I am guessing it will be in the extended version. Im guessing they did that to make taking out the scouring easier. They didn't have the much of the parts of Frodo/Sam trying to reach Mount Doom, after the fight with Shelob and Frodo got taken, Sam freed him real fast and then they got to climbing Mount Doom. Aragorn never looked into the Palantir and they didn't have the house of healing. They did'nt have the mouth of Sauron at the black gates. Though I heard he might be the Extended version (I hope so ). One thing they did great was the ending, it was just like the book (except the scouring obviously). The battle of Pellenor Fields and paths of the dead I really liked. I could keep writing about it cause it was great but I should let you see some of it yourself ;D

Heh, I like your method of hiding the spoilers, Berolsar. Quite ingenious!
My 2 cents <Ka-ching!>: I myself was disappointed in the ending.. one, without the scouring, and two, found it rushed as if film time was running out. Shelob part was kind of an anti-climax for me, too.. But the scenery was breathtaking and the story as close as can be expected. All in all well done.

I know what you mean the Two Towers wasn't like the book at all, lots of the scences where missed out and if you listened they changed one of the names of the characters.
