I thought I'd post this here.
Middle-Earth mod v 1.92 was released last week. You can get it from the v&K site linked from the Games Page, or you can get it from Eowyn/Nathalia's Page also liked from the Games Page.
Take care. Eonwë

Found some info in the readme re: new changes: --- Changes in Version 1.92 (LoD):-Runes can be downgraded in the cube (put a rune in the cube and transmute it to the next lower rune) -Added runewords for four, five and six of the same rune in one item (amplifying the power of the runes) -Added runewords: three word runewords can be enhanced with an additional rune to make them slightly more powerful (see cubes’n’runes info) -The three hell-like extra levels in act 5 are now populated by EXTREME amounts of highlevel monsters and bosses/champions. They are meant to be bonus levels if you feel fit to take on the challenge. If you just entered act 5 you WILL NOT be able to survive in there! -Succubi type monsters less frequent -Orcs less frequent -Reduces number of different spawnable monstertypes to 3 per area (with few exceptions) -Magiclevel of wands, staffs, scepters and orbs increase slightly with itemlevel, giving higher level rods a better chance to drop with higher level affixes (should make it more probable to get a good magic runestaff than shortstaff) -Many ranged attack monsters (like Spikefiends and Skeleton Archers) made buggy and too much damage – that was fixed -Bossgroups in Morgoth’s Throneroom toned down slightly -Kickdamage for boots added (was accidentally set to 0 all the time) -Added three unique throwing weapons -Added affixes on melee weapons that have %chance to cast a spell on successful hit (Chainlightning, Blizzard and Meteor at different skilllevels) -Added affixes on body armor that have %chance to casts spells on getting hit and on dying (get one for your weak hireling -Dark Elf trap skills tweaked (some were underpowered and some were vastly overpowered like Blade Sentinel and Blade Fury) -Amazon classspecific spears are now faster than normal spears -Increased poison damage of gems -Affixes for rings, amulets, charms and jewels tweaked to make lowlevel affixes less frequent in higher levels -Reduced range of ressurection for Orc Shamans and Unravelers

... <ahem> ... Hear ye, Hear ye! Well, I tried out the new version today, but didn't notice any specific difference. Unfortunately, they haven't fixed the Dark Elf's cold trap yet so I'm shying away from using it (still can't see it work) Ho-boy it's hard to level now... I'm at 76 and played for 3 hours and only went up about a 1/3 of the way <ack!> Also, found 7 set/unique pieces, but had them all before <sigh>... two of the uniques had better stats than I had previously, so I'll be updating the website later (don't ALL rush to it at once! ) er... that is all. <steps down from podium... stubs toe... sigh>

Hmmm... have you ever seen these levels they talk about in the readme notes I mentioned above, Eonwe? "The three hell-like extra levels in act 5..."

I've seen the "older" bonus level version, and I imagine it's only become an even uglier fight :} My Dunadan, given enough time and full rejuvs, could make it through one of them before, but I'm not sure about now. I had needed to convert a few guys to help keep them off me, but the way it sounds, there's no one to convert now. Might be easier to just go fight Morgoth, hehe :}
Did you mean "where are they?" They're the levels with the red portals found in Frigid Highlands (where you rescue the edain soldiers) the Plateau (right before the frozen path) and one more place, I think in the place before the crystalline passage. If you manage to get through, they have treasure chests.
Take care :} Eonwë

Arathorn, if there are no one else posts between posts you make, try to answer multiple questions in the same post. If there's some actual time between posts, that's one thing, but these are mere minutes away.
That goes for everyone, btw :}
If you could compress some of these, it'd be appreciated.

Aha, actually I hadn't noticed the time factor. I was performing other tasks in between reading posts so had submitted a reply to the first before reading the second. Happily, I DID have a lovely Angel food cake to munch on before perusing the subsequent post and replying to it. ;D
<..sends a tasty slice to make amends..YUM!>
