I could devote this thread to one 'writer' only, but decided it could be used for discussing any tolkien-parody-book. I have in my possession 'Bored of the Rings', as you may remember, and yesterday I have bought 'the Sellamillion'. It is, as you can probably guess, a parody on the Silmarillion. I've read quite a part of it already, and it's fantastic IMHO. I could spill loads of details here, but first I would like to inquire if anybody else has read the book, or would like to read, before I spoil it for people. I'll just say, for now, it is from the same author as 'the Soddit', which I still have to buy... but I'll get to that soon. Oh, and also, it is not only a parody of the Silmarillion, it also draws upon Letters of Tolkien, the Adventures of Tom Bombadil, Farmer Giles, etc. And, of course, the Ainulindale and in a way the Akallabeth. Have fun reading I know I will.
