Frali:
The young Dwarf looked at Fainan and Calaron. "I can add something maybe .. I felt sort weird, when i took the sword. I wanted to keep it you know? Not give it away again.. and in the first moments thoughts about defeating a dragon sitting on an immense heap of treasure came across my mind, but only briefly." Frali then looked at Elrond. "The feeling seemed to disappear when we entered the valley .. but when Aranwe came and started asking his questions it came back .. even though the sword was away from me."

Frali:
The young dwarf sat still at second breakfast when Elrond's summon arrived. He hastily swallowed the last of his morning drink and followed the Elf who came to inform him of the meeting. Frali nodded his thanks to his guide and greeted the others of his travel companions with a bow and a warm smile. "Nice to see you all again, and Master Elrond, what is the news?"

The Outlander Series The Story: Claire Randall, a young American military nurse, gets lost in the Scottish Highlands near Inverness where some standing stones prove as portal through time that transport her directly into the path of the Jacobite fugitive, Jamie Fraser. She learns to adjust to the strange culture and romance blooms despite political and social intrigues (as the marriage is not quite voluntarily) , skirmishes and plight of neighbours. In the midst of that Claire tries to find a way back which she eventually manages as she becomes aware of other time travellers. As Claire finds her feet in 18th century Scotland she eventually returns to her own time for the sake of Jamie's daughter Brianna to give her a future in relative safety. But one can imagine that Jamie's daughter can't leave it at that, as Claire reveals to her at her 20th birthday who (and when) her father really was (and not Claire's husband Frank .. ). Enough to make you curios ? It is a series of 8 Novels that span from 1745 into the late 1800s, from the Scottish Highlands through the Carribean into the turbulent North America of late 18th and early 19th century. As the story deals with war and medical treatment it contains some fairly graphic scenes, also where the romantic scenes are concerned they are not for a sensitive mind - just a word of warning there, but saying that, they are all written in with a poetic brilliance that doesn't make them repellent in any way. Highly recommended by me and if you want to know more about the Gaelic culture (back 200 years ago .. but still some of it survives ) or just have a good read, go ahead. But careful .. they are addictive. List of Novels in order: Outlander Dragonfly in Amber Voyager Drums of Autumn The Fiery Cross A Breath of Snow and Ashes An Echo in the Bone Written in my own Hearts blood Go tell the bees that I am gone (currently in production)

Frali:
Time passed and scouting reports were collected. Frali passed the days honing his sword skills and looking over the shoulders of the Elven smiths and, when they were generous enough to allow it, gave them a hand as far as they would trust him to do. Their own departure didn't seem to come any nearer, but he tried to keep himself busy to play over the restlessness of youth. Besdes the physical work of course, he spent as much time as he could with his kinsmen Gloin and Gimli.
The year got older and it was a day in late autumn that Gimli came over to his young kinsman. "Elrond's scouts have gathered all the reports they can and we cannot delay our errand any further. By stone and beard, lad, it was a pleasure to have time before going out towards things we cannot be certain of." He hugged Frali in true dwarvish fashion and the two clapped each other's back before looking in their opposite's eyes.
*No time for bawling", Frali said, *let's grab a mug of ale or two and give that road of yours a true dwarvish scent." He grinned at his friend and kinsman and dragged him towards the Hall of Fire where Gloin joined them.
So it was with a sore head that Frali waved after the nine wanderers as they left Rivendell. "I really hope we will meet again " he muttered to himself.
Aragorn, who walked past him at this moment, turned to him with an encouraging smile: "We may yet, young warrior. You have a stout heart but you have your own story to write and your own path to walk. Take courage, friend, and do not be sad, the Valar see everything and will guide your feet where they need to go. Farewell!"
With that the ranger continued and the young warrior looked after him with a gleam of hope that wasn't there before: "May the Father Smith watch over you all" he muttered and retreated back into his room until second breakfast.

Frali:
Frali bowed to Elrond: "Thank you for your hospitality, kind sir. I hope we can give you back at some point in our halls under the mountain." He bowed again and left the library with the others.
Outside the young dwarf turned to Calion and Fainan: "I could go scouting the borders while your birds are out in the air , do the same thing on the ground if you want."

Frali:
Frali looked over to Meren with a warm smile, but there was also an underlying sadness in his voice as he now adressed her: "We will miss your expertise and wisdom, Meren, but I can already see that this is the place where you belong. You are a bookworm and enjoy discussing boring .. , excuse me, most interesting details without which people like us could not do our more mundane tasks. I am sure you will find a home here in Rivendell and ,as Fainan said, we can come and visit you when all is done. And thank you for the help you have given me and the others on the road so far."
To himself he thought: "Maybe Meren is the one who is best off here. Who knows how many fights and troubles lie ahead of us. She has proven herself invaluable to us and Elrond already and she might be needed here as much as we are on the road."

Frali:
Frali looked from Elrond to the opening door and smiled at his travel companions. "We didn#'t get very far with it yet, my ladies, my lord. I just joined Lord Elrond's company. Maybe you can help him finding such."
He looked at Elrond almost apologetically. "Although I guess that he will have a lot harder tasks - and more important ones - on his mind these days."

Frali:
The three dwarves headed to the hall of fire after refreshing themselves and then joined the feast in the common room of the Last HOmely HOuse. They found both their curiosity and the rumours about ale in Elven halls satisfied, but over the meal Frali grew restless. Gimli looked at his young cousin: "What ails you, cousin. Don't you enjoy the merry-making and the music?"
The younger dwarf looked at his cousin and blushed slightly: "Don't think me ungrateful, Gloin's son, but I prefer the music made by the clashing of swords and the exhilaration found in the heat of battle .. , walls - however skillfully crafted just make me feel uneasy and locked in. I need to move outside, look out for something to exercise my weapons with .. and I don't mean sparring partners."
Gloin overheard his words and grinned. "Spoken like a true warrior, young one. It could have come from me when I was your age. I think I have an idea what you might enjoy. Lord Elrond is sending out scouts to check the different paths that lead away from Rivendell and the surrounding country. I can imagine that he could make use of your sharp eyes and quick moves, not to mention your skill with throwing axes and the sword."
Frali looked excitedly at the old dwarf. "Really? Do you think he would let me take part in this?"
Gloin: " Of course, I see no reason why not. But I cannot speak for him. You have to go and ask him yourself."
Frali nodded and sighed. "I guess so .. I hope this Elven Lord won't mind being disturbed by a young outsider like me."
Gimli: "He won't. Elrond is greater than you think and that goes for his knowledge and skills with books and weapon as well as for his attitude to the other races of MIddlearth. Go , Frali, pick up your courage and your own fears over being rejected and ask him. I am sure he will have sympathy for your plight, especially when it evolves such an important task as scouting the enemy's moves."
Frali blushed, smiled, emptied his mug of ale and rose to his feet. "I shall let you know of the outcome, Gimli and Gloin. I shall head towards Lord Elrond's study then."
The young dwarf left the common room and the feast, listened outside for a moment and smiled. Then he breathed through and headed towards Lord Elrond's study.

Frali:
He smiled at Calion. "That is my plan .. and that includes testing if the rumours about ale being stored in the Elven Halls are true. " Frali grinned. But i guess even so courtesy demands to get rid of grime and other indecent substances."
The young dwarf turned to Gloin and Gimli and smiled with a wink to Calion. "Let us get decent before we do that and, my elven Companion, when is time to pack our bags find us in the Hall of Fire."
He bowed respectfully to Calion, nodded to his couins and the three dwarves made their way to their quarters.

I have cancelled the subsciption for the moment, since i don't have the time to give this very nice MMO the attention it deserves. I ' ll keep however the game on the computer, and if i finally decide to give up WoW it is definitely an option .
