I am also playing Neverwinter. My main character is on Beholder (which seems to be the forgotten shard!) but since you only get two character slots anyway there's no reason why I couldn't make a character on another server if we designate an official Valar shard.
Oh on Beholder I am:
Ashra Firestoker Omira Sablesoul

If I remember correctly, Isildur snuck in and stole a fruit from Nimloth before Sauron succeeded in having it cut down. Then he brought it with him to Middle-earth when he and most of the rest of his family fled Numenor.

Well, off the top of my head, we know from the fight in the Chamber of Mazarbul that the orcs would commonly poison their weapons. It was unusual that the orc weapon that hit Sam was not poisoned.
I also seem to remember a mention of an 'orc scimitar' but I don't remember from where exactly. I'll try and do some research and get back to you.

Well, since I am now allowed to look it up, I will At least I get a little credit for knowing the names of two alphabets The Tengwar are a system of letters used for writing, as with a pen, and was originally developed by Rumil. Feanor later created a seperate set of characters, based at least in small part on Rumil's earlier work. Rumil's Tengwar were not used in Middle-earth, but Feanor's were. The Cirth were developed by the Sindar, and were used for inscriptions and commonly referred to now as runes. Later, the Cirth were refined and became known as the Alphabet of Daeron, the loremaster of Thingol. These were adopted by the Dwarves and called Angerthas. I assume that the third script you were referring to, Dis, are the Tengwar of Rumil, but if I am mistaken, please let me know

That's a tough one. I have to ask, though, is the answer found in the lotr? I would imagine it would be in the appendices if so, but I'm not allowed to look (in this thread).
The only writing systems I can come up with off the top of my head are the Tengwar and the Cirth.

Aye it was. I was looking for something along the lines of it being rebuilt away from the dragon's corpse, but as I can't find it in the books myself at the moment, I won't insist upon it Perhaps it's just a fancy of mine.

It's possible I can make this. Don't hold it up for me or anything though.

I should be able to make this. The only problem would present if other people couldnt make it and it wouldn't start until about 9 or after. That would make it tough for me to stay for the whole event. I would have to log off at 9:20, then i would get home about 9:45.

Maybe now you won't lag as much when you set the graphics quality past 1982

I would talk to Varda about it in depth, but as a Warlord, my responsibilities only seem to include running an event every once in a while

Turbine says if you already have LOTRO installed, then you don't need to install from the MoM disks, as they will try to do a fresh install of SoA and MoM. What your install is doing is attempting to overwrite your existing LOTRO installation.
Turbine recommends either patching through the launcher on the 18th, or downloading the updater beforehand (they have it hosted by NVidia, which has pretty fast download times). If you have trouble finding the downloader link I can provide it later, let me know.

Well, Gal, as Warlord, I am assigned the task of running events. As far as I'm concerned though you can go ahead and schedule something you want to do too Or if you want, I eagerly take suggestions on what to run on Friday nights. I know it might not be the best night for everyone, but I didn't get a lot of suggestions when I asked, heh. Tis true, only an officer in the kin can send out kinship mail or change to motd. If you do run an event I'm sure that Varda or myself or some other officer would be happy to make an announcement for you. Or, you can see about becoming a Warlord yourself, to take some of the load off me and get the privileges of spamming the entire guild at once for your very own
