The prancing pony was warm that night, i sat with my pipe in the corner, it's bowl roughly the size of a gold coin was glowing red-hot with it's sweet-leaf that i had acquired through a hobbit farmer. I blew a little smoke ring out of my mouth, tasting the scent of the air as the smoke released from my mouth. it was bitterly cold compared to my hobby, but refreshing at the same time. i took another mouthful of smoke into my mouth, savouring the smell through my tastebuds. the fire was warm upon my back as i leaned on my chair's two back legs. I am Falathar, my namesake was one of the three mariners for earendil and was a very brave man i heard. I, personally, have never seen the ocean, nor do i intend to. it is too deep and mysterious for me. that makes it all the more attractive to some people though. ah, i have forgotten myself, i am an elf. I hail from Lorien, the golden forest, under galadriel. it is the most spectacular sight that i have set my eyes upon, but as some elves i have also acquired a "wanderlust". call it a flaw but i love to wander wherever life takes me. i usually am dressed as i am now, in a plain brown tunic oof elvish make, so as not to arouse suspicion. i am from a wealthy family, but i try not to think of that too often. it is a sad subject so i would like for it to remain your and my little secret. i am also wearing some blue pants and my own boots that come up to my knees. I love my boots, for they were a gift to me from my deceased father, again please keep this a secret. they come up to my knees in a royal blue and so far, are extremely hard to wear through and get dirty, no matter where i go. for this reason, they usually stay on my feet. my cloak, however is one of galadriel's and my people. and so is the brooch that i wear. i stand about six foot tall and have silver hair, and i am told when i am too merry, i start to sing and dance and laugh quite gaily. i prefer company but alone time is just as important as crowd time. why i am traversing the world i think is to prove my worth and find love. that is it, me all summed up in my explanation, sitting here with my thumb in my ear and a pip in my mouth, by the fire. the rest of the seats, i realized were upon for just about anybody to plop down upon, so that i may mayhap travel with them and share some adventures.
