Hail!
For those who don't know already, Turbine now holds the exclusive license to create MMORPGs based on LotR and the Hobbit. This was once held in conjunction with the license Vivendi holds to make games based on these two works, but obviously it was negortiated to become a separate license.
With this change also comes a change in the name. Middle Earth Online is now known as Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (or simply LotRO).
I personally prefer MEO, but hey, they didn't ask me :}
Check out some of the new stuff on the page, and start getting used to the name now, because it'll be too late when the game comes out and you try to find MEO in stores :}
Take care. Eonwë
