Heyas,
It is morning the fourth of Oktober 2004.
I got up early as I am supposed to when another of my family are having birthday. You know, preparing breakfast, making coffee, place a flag, boil an egg or two, light a candle and then yelling HAAAAAPPY BIRTHDAY waking the neighbors but probably not the byrding ( Hobbitish )
Today it is the seventh anniversary of the Valar Guild. That is pretty much in a fast spinning world and even more in the online gaming world. From the first Diablo, I guess that game can be called the massive online gamings breakthrough to the general public until today where each and everyone launch massive online gaming with more or less luck.
Sure the guild have changed over the years, lands have been raised and lands have been drowned. People have been wandering across mountains finding new shores, some have died away while new has been born.
From the craddle at Cuivienien we have spread out ever wondering what is behind the high peaks far away in the mist and many have followed the call for adventure in distant regions. That is the natural course of life.
What is not so natural, for guilds and clans, is what we have been carrying with us. Most clans and guilds are born and carried by a game. We are not. We are carried by a belief and trust in companienship and friendship founded upon and described in JRR Tolkiens book The Lord of the Rings.
When a game turns boring and we seek new lands and adventures those who founded their friendship upon a game most often drift apart one by one and the guild collaps.
We founded the Valar Guilds community upon a deeply rooted isle of security amidst a roaring sea. A security of friendship, honesty and trust across mountains, seas and time.
That`s why I could beat you all and be the first here at the board yelling HAAAPPY SEVENTH ANNIVERSARY VALAR GUILD ;D ;D
