Found a Half Life 'Old West' mod based on the SP/MP game by Lucasarts released back in 97 called "Outlaws" (was a great game for its time) that is based on the old west. It has the same chars as the original game as well as sounds, guns, look/feel. It also allows you to set up BOTS to fight against, or have on your team (their difficulty anywhere from lvl 1-5, 5 being easiest/weakest). I had 8 lvl 2 BOTS and my brother and I played over the lan... was quite nuts! 10 of us running around playing capture the flag... 8 computer driven. The rifleman was accurate from quite far away. Has a number of maps to play too. You get to pic your char (which starts with certain weapons) and the bots are picked at random (OR you can set their names and types, difficulties, etc). You can also set the taunts and chat text that they spew out at given intervals, or it uses the defaults. To set the bots, you pull down the console after starting a given game map and enter 'exec bot.cfg' (after setting the number of bots, their strength, etc. in that file). You can download it from their site at: www.planethalflife.com/outlawsmod/ ;D Yippee! Playing one on one MP was boring... not this! You can apparently set BOTS for other mods too, but haven't delved into that (special program to download and configure/install). They were working on an SP version too, but not sure of the status of that.
