(it's not Tolkien RP, but an alliance between human, Elves, and Orcs wouldn't make sense in Tolkien terms )
Dalar Dawnweaver, scrying out the countryside of the valley known only as 'The Avalanche', discovered an abomination. A group of humans were seen collaborating with the vile scourge, the undead plague. They had forged an alliance, and had to be stopped.
Calling upon the shamanic Orcish tribes with whom his Arcane citadel shared the country and informing their leader, the mighty seer Magis Coldeye, of this horrible turn of events, he headed off to the Southern borders of the Avalanche Valley and hoped that his ally had followed him. He established a base of operations and started working on a preliminary military while he worked towards the Arcane schools that would train his main attack force: The mighty spellbreakers.
Shortly upon arriving, I, Dalar Dawnweaver, rode forth upon my mighty steed and went to scout his opposition. Catching them offguard, while they struggled to destroy some Ogres and Trolls, we called upon the mighty wrath of the ice that surrounded these plains and unleashed a mighty blizzard upon his foes. Realizing that it was my student, who had adopted the horrible pseudonym of "Conjurus Rex", who had forged this alliance, the battle became personal and I vowed to wipe the foul scourge from the valley and to punish my former student for his misdeeds. Returning to my base, I discovered a message detailing the brave deeds of my friend and ally. Magis Coldeye, it seemed, had braved death and defeat to enter into the blighted lands that the undead Lord Soulrender had taken as his base of operations, and had struck a crucial blow to the undead mining operation, slaying two of the vile acolytes who were using their evil magicks to bring forth the gold from the mine. We had made our presence known, and had discovered vital information about their plans. Knowing my student was at the forefront of the human operation, I concluded that he would try, like me, to call upon the aid of the Elves, misleading them into believing the Undead were friends, and bring forth the mighty female magi known only as sorceresses. Magis had discovered signs that the undead were trying to bring forth the arachnids of the scourge, Crypt Fiends. It was around this time that Rex sought to anger me by destroying the Ogres and Trolls that lived near the borders of my camp while they slept. Suspecting that he would try that, I waited and struck mere moments before he disturbed their slumber, catching him offguard yet again, and sending him cowering back to his base, With every passing combat my strength and confidence grew, as well as the trust and faith that this land placed in me. What torments the undead must have been putting this land through, for it to have such rage... the fury of the blizzards that I unleashed was unlike any I've seen before.
The battlefield fell silent and no sounds issued from our opponents, and my ally Magis felt uneasy... so he called upon the services of a mighty Queen of the deeps, Venna Seastorm of the Naga tribes. She answered his call all too readily and joined our forces as he sought to convince his allies, the mystical Witch Doctors of the trolls and the mighty Tauren warriors of the mountains, to aid us in our plight. I set up the schools that would train my army of mystical Elves, priest, spellbreaker and sorceress alike. My human warriors were becoming weary when the next strike took place. However, their valour shone through, and we took the battle, suffering only minor losses. However, Magis was nearly slain, and his unmoving body had to be transported to a temple of healing so that he could be revived. It was at this time, seeing our desperate plight, that I sent missives back to my citadel asking for aid. Within moments I had received an answer in the form of my companion the mighty Tanin Hawkwing, who had come just in time, for my army was under attack! As he arrived, they fled, and he saw that my army was getting very weak. I began to train and outfit Elves in the ways of the spellbreaker, as well as summoning teachers from my citadel to train my Initiates in theways of the sorceress and the ways of the priest. I was dismayed, for the training was taking far too long and we didn't have enough troops to hold out another concentrated attack it seemed.
My fears were justified, though only partly, for we were attacked shortly thereafter! We were slwoly pushed back into the Orc camp, and our troops were growing almost too weak to fight. They had brought upon us their full force and we looked to be defeated. And we would have been, had it not been for the mighty magic of Tanin and Magis, and the ever increasing wrath of the land! Almost all of my troops were slain, yet the raging torrents of ice, combined with the furious firestorms created by my friend Tanin and the mighty bolts of lightning cast by Magis, drove off their troops at the last, giving us one last chance to build up an army. Taking that chance, we massed our troops and set off to wait for them to leave the protection of their camps. The Witch doctors, having responded to the call, set their watchful magics upon the land to help alert us of any oncoming dangers. Ahhh... what a force we were: Mighty tauren and spellbreakers at the front, masterful sorceresses, witch doctors, and priests behind. And the four of us, Magis and myself, Tanin and Venna, leading them to victory! Such a gathering I have never seen on such short notice! It was truly a refreshing sight! The next battle was over within seconds, with next to no losses on our part! Then I set out to punish my wayward student for his insolence! We assaulted the human camp, and there Rex was, hiding within his base beneath a powerful arcane tower, which drains the magic out of it's foes. Calling upon the mighty forces of fire and ice, we trapped him between scalding heat and blistering cold, and thus he was held accountable and punished for his vile misdeeds. We razed the human base, allowing any who surrendered to live among us, and slaughtered the undead fortress, killing every last trace of undeath and purging the land of that horrid scourge.
I then returned, triumphant, to my encampment, leaving it as a watchtower upon the valley that had trusted me with so much power, protecting it from the scourge and leaving Tanin as the stewardo f that town. At my citadel, many celebrations were held in honour of myself, Venna, Tanin, and Magis... and, of course, most importantly, the mighty troops who risked their lives ridding the Valley of Avalanche of this menace.
And thus ended what was later called, with double meaning, the Battle of the Avalanche.
